First Year of Budo

June 5th, 2008 by Jarrod in First Year of Budo

Hand in waterWhen I started out into budo I really had no idea what to expect. Everything I had read on the topic was either vague mystical stories of extra-ordinary feats or hooligan style tales of sword slinging. My confusion was probably appropriate because I don’t think that anyone who has not done any martial arts before can comprehend the totality of what is involved if you really apply yourself.

In the hope that I could provide some insight to others considering starting out on this journey I journaled each weeks training session. Now there is an archived series which I have called the First Year of Budo that anyone can read to see what I was thinking as I went through the process of discovering the martial arts.

Naturally it’s a story of joys, frustrations, surprises and excitement. So please enjoy my First Year of Budo .

You are welcome to leave comments about your first year of budo here too.
